Ok,
So I did some light searching through the forums to this, perhaps the answer is there already but I thought I'd share this tip or trick.

After importing several times using EPA, then making changes to the import file, the products would sometimes show in two categories, or in the wrong category all together.

Changes of course had been made to the import file but it was correct at the time of import.

I of course attempted to cure this by deleting the products via Easy Populates delete action. The problem continued to occur even after import of the new import file.

I then went further and logged into phpmyadmin and empty the tables (products, products description, categories, and categories description) and then import, still items showed in two categories.

I have found that the problem is actually in the products to categories table. I emptied it and the other tables mentioned above again and voila, it fixed the problem.

I'm not sure what caused it to show the incorrect product id to category id but it fixed the problem and the import worked.

I do a lot of epa importing exporting.. and have never seen this

what version of creloaded are you using along with patch number.. and patch number of the original install

I've noticed this on a couple different sites, the current version is 6.2.10.1, the original install is maybe 6.2.9 or 8, i don't remember 100%. Turn on the product count in each category and add up the number it shows, it will not match the total of products in your import sheet. Keep in mind this is after the sheet has changed, such as deleting products or putting products into a different category, for example:

Product id 100 is in the widget category.
The sheet is changed for whatever reason and now product 100 should be in the blue widget category; However after importing product 100 now shows in both categories.

Here is some other info, store has over 4400 products, but i've noticed the same problem in stores as little as 700 products.

I use it every day.. and have never had this problem.. are your category names matching..

a simple test would be using epa export.. then importing the same file with no changes..
