CRE Loaded Community

Please help - I'm somewhat new to CRE Loaded and I need to create and use a session value as follows:

User clicks a button which populates session variable
the button cause page to reload with new session value populated
session value is then used by client-side javascript which runs on page load

Can someone please provide code which accomplishes this?

The best place to do will be includes/application_top.php.
you can add condition for your variable and populate it based on some GET parameter. You can get idea by seeing the file.

Don't use php session function to write to session, instead use CRE Loaded session functions. They can be found in includes/functions/sessions.php

Wow.. thanks for this info. Now I know what went wrong. What I did was i used php session function to write to session instead of CRE Loaded session functions.
