If you do not know who this is... let me introduce him to you.

I would like to tell my story here so that it is chronicled; maybe enough complaints will force into action something to make this guy stop, I think, ripping people off.

Jeffrey McCommas from Boston is having a sale. CRE Loaded B2B patch 11 now going for $149.00… that can be found here; websitetemplatedesign.com/cre-loaded-shopping-carts-c-61.html. Also bought a template from the same website.

In short after the many problems with software and NO support I took it here to CRELOADED.com. Talking to the many knowledgable people here I find all about the adventures of this said to be con artist McCommas.

I was saddened to here that I was using an unauthorized B2B and I would have to take it back to McCommas. I paid through PayPal and filed a complaint. Couple hours after filing I get a reply from PayPal stating that Jeffery McCommas no longer wants to communicate to me and the case is now considered closed.

Called PayPal and was informed that their policy will not allow reversing charges on one of their Vendors. Ebay yes, outside of that NO! They said that if they, PayPal gets enough complaints they simply drop the Vendor.

I ask how much emblemizing is someone allowed to get away with before you pull the plug. He didn’t like that comment.

I just wonder how many people have been down this road and how many people haven’t said anything about it and just ate it. Total loss $315.00 and a whole lot of screwed up code. Geeeze and the time.

Just so everyone knows the way I feel Jeffrey McCommas from Leveltenhosting.com orchestrated PayPal:

CRE Loaded software is Open Source and redistributable under the General Public License. There is no such thing as a "Licensed Version". We distribute the same exact software that comes from CRE loaded. When you purchased our down loadable graphics there was a terms of use that you agreed to that specifically states that we are not selling the software but we are selling the graphics for the software. We do not offer refunds simply because you cannot understand how to operate your ecommerce store. Because the software is a electronic download you cannot return it there fore we offer no refunds and you agrred to our terms when you purchased the software.

This is a continuation of the last complaint stating that you sold me bad coded CRE Loaded B2B software and that you have been banded from CRE Loaded Company from selling this software. All of the software you are selling is unauthorized. Please return my money.

I wasn't surprized.

I think this is an appropriate forum to post this because it goes beyond the actions of any one company's fraud or deceit. It reflects back to the original idea of the purpose of CRE itself and all those that walk away from CRE will have a bad taste in their month and of coarse--light a few hundred dollars. I think it is time somebody here at CRE LOADED needs to LOAD some legal action. It appears Jeffery McCommas has been doing this activity for a long time. What am I going to do? Later post.

paypal told me tough luck because its software.

I hate to say it but, if you deal with websitetemplate design "aka Jeffery mccommas" you got to take it like a man getting raped ;(

As many people he rips off you would think he would be out of business by now. I personal know of 4 others that have had this happen to them.

Yep we are licensed under the same as oscommerce because we believe in open source.

Our developers work long and hard. Day and night, even on weekends. All to make the code better. Supporting open source commercial products enables companies like ours to improve the quality, fix bugs and enhance its features.

This is what you pay for when you buy directly from us. Lifetime product updates for that revision! We are being noticed now, from some major corporations in the ecommerce world.

I would encourage all seasoned creloaded professionals to venture over to CRE FORGE And contribute back to the free project. What a way to make a name for yourself and your company! Develop your contribution on our server at our cost! Show your customers a list of projects you have worked on and build prestige for your empire!

OH, i bought creloaded from here. I just bought a template from websitetemplate design. 6.15 was current version then. But the code in both where pretty differnt. I learned latter the 6.15 on his site was a ported version from 6.08 or something like that.

Hi

I hope I haven't fallen for this trap, as I am new to this type of thing.

I was just about to purchase CRELoaded PRO from this site when I came across a go deal, or so I thought with levelten. The both deals finished on 31/12/07 so i may have rushed in to it.

I got the package for 399.00, I ve got access to my admin pages and a ssl page.

However i now do not seem to get any response to my questions by email or submitted tickets.

Is anyone else having similar problems?

As i am totally new to website development i could have done we a little help.

I know I can get help off here, but I thought i was paying for there help too.

I wouldn't know if I have an unlicensed copy or not.

Any advise would be most grateful

Thanks

You will not get any help from level 10 with problems to your template, You will be a creloaded pro once you go thur and start fixing all the problems with the buggy temples.

If you didn't buy creloaded the software, "not the template" from here then its unlicensed and you can't dl software patches untill you buy a licensees from creloaded.

These guys are a joke. I bought my osCommerce template w/CRE Loaded from him under "osCommercetemplates.com". I have also put in many work tickets with NO RESPONSE AT ALL... Then all of a sudden I receive an email stating that I have not replied to them for over 48hrs or so and that the work ticket will be closed unless I respond back and let them know that there is still a problem. So I do and still no action is taken.

Since the web site has been installed I have only received one reply to any of my problems and he told me that it wasn't his problem that it was a problem with my hosting company. When I sent a reply to see if he could give a little bit more information so I knew what I needed to tell my hosting company he replied back with a suggestion that I switch the Level Ten Hosting and that would take care of the problem. Fat chance considering the lake of support I have received so far.

Bottom line this guy is a joke. If I knew then what I know now I would never had bought from him. As of right now I would like to dump this cart and go with something else if I could afford it. I have had nothing but problems and I don't have the time to spend hours searching through code to fix a problem. I don;t think that I would have the same feelings if I could just find someone that knows the cart and that can take of things quickly.

Just found out that the web site he sold me is faulty. The site will not detect my SSL and many seasoned coders on osCommerce have refered to the coder that coded the site as a Script Kiddie. Pour php and alot of other things.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!

I got screwed. Buy from him and you will to.

I think this topic needs to be clarified -
Im in no way related to this guy or his shop, FYI.

First, his agreement says - you are buying a TEMPLATE, not the software.

I don't support PAYING for software that is faulty, not on this guys site - or any template site - OR on creloaded.com.

I download creloaded, a fresh, free install, and there are a ton of things wrong with it. i accept that because its free. I DESPISE anyone who sells this software that has been compiled from programmers who volunteer their time & arent getting paid.

I understand that CRE pro, B2B, & white label versions are a compalation (sp?) of volunteer work & paid programmers @ creloaded, however, if they are charging for it, then i believe they need to work out every flaw before selling the software.

I happen to know for a fact that this isnt the case. there are multiple items that do not work on b2b that are constantly being resolved, but why pay for it if its not perfect & completely usable?

therefore, anyone who hijacks this software to resell as their own (with templates) are selling faulty software from the get go. when they add on contribs that dont work, then they are further contributing to the problem of faulty add ons added to faulty base software.

<b>POINT IS</b>, we need to change the way things are being done. dont support these people by buying their software !!!

you know creloaded is fraught with bugs, and when you choose to use it because its a great start- but its not perfect.

in the future, we need to stop constantly ADDING , and adding to creloaded. we need to stop & revise & clean up the existing code and make everything functional, remove the useless code, and devise an easy system for add ons to be quickly and easily added to a solid base, and for templates to be sold as images & css only - without an outdated & faulty cart.

In conclusion, boycott template sites & buy a custom site designed by your local designer - me :)

I agree lauren6318. I wish I had done that from the get go. I knew going in that there could be problems getting the site adjusted just right; but I figured that I would be able to get good support from the site in helping to resolve those issues.

Below is the response to my email from Jeffrey McCommas in regards to my problems with my private SSL certificate not working.

"You can either ask your hosting company to help you or you can pay us to do it. Your hosting company won't help you because they will just say the same thing they tell everyone which is "We don?t support 3rd party scripts".

Or the third alternative is to host your site on our servers where we will install and support your store as long as you are with Level Ten Hosting."

BUY DIRECTLY FROM CRE LOADED!!! NO MORE TEMPLATE HACK SHOPS!!!

a good lesson is to read the fine print.. they all have it..
no support.. as is.. no refunds

and when you agree.. you are pretty much waiving your right to getting something that works

a few bad apples ruin the rest of the basket

Avoid everything that this guy does.
After a couple run-ins with him I'd like to take him out.
