Cannot exit out of Edit Attributes page

When clicking 'save and finish' after editing attributes, the page used to return to the category/products page with all my products listed, so that I could continue editing attributes in that category. Now I can no longer exit the Edit Attributes page. Can anyone tell me what may have caused this and how can I fix it? I am now having to go all the way back out to Catalog to re-enter the Products/Categoires pages that need attribute changes. Can anyone help? Thx so much...

Which version ... 6.2 what? Does this affect all products with attribs (create a test prod, try it on that)?
Cleared browser cache recently?

Hi Simon - thx for your reply - the version is 6.2. I did go ahead and clear the cache but still no luck. In the mean time my web designer supplied a slight fix but unfortunately it routes us to another wrong page. Better than it was but still not the original configuration. We will live with it for now and thank you for your help... :wink:

Doesn't make much sense ... which version of 6.2 are you using?
After clicking 'Save an Finish' you should return to the listing of products in that category. The code that does this in 6.2 in the file /admin/attributes.php is:

It uses sessions, so if your Admin >> Configuration >> Sessions settings aren't right or mods have been made to the way sessions are working on your admin, then maybe the issue is there.

Simon - that's exactly what I needed was the code! Also you validated that the page is supposed to return the products list...thank you! My web designer tried to tell us that CRE Loaded 6.2 never returned to the products list when in fact it has been doing so for the last 3 years! I will send them the code you suggested to see if that will fix it. If not, we will return it to the broken version which works, but takes longer. Thank you so much....

The above code isn't the fix - it's the actual code from a 6.2 pro attributes.php file.
It shouldn't be a deep mystery this one - either the page has been modified (not sure which version of 6.2 you're using) or somethings up with the sessions.

Ok got it......my guess is the web designer modified the page then, although they will not admit it. I will have to live with the fix the "pseudo" fix they tried this last week. Thank you for you advice...you validated what I was thinking....

Simon - just wanted to touch base to let you know the code and suggestion about the sessions you gave me actually did help as the issue has been resolved on our edit attributes page. The web designer did in fact modify the page away from original configuration and now he was able to change it back after gaining your input. Thank you so much!!! Really appreciate your help!
