I would not mind it being there but I can't even use the admin because it just stalls due to adserver.authsecure.com being down or something.

I want to remove it without breaking anything else.

I searched the forums and googled it and found nothing usefull due to changes in how it works.

Can anybody help me resolve this problem?

Thanks

Is this still an issue?

It's been an issue with me for 2 years. I finally took time to remove all the ad feeder links so I could get into my own Admin (CRE Pro). The code shouldn't be in paid versions at all!!! Nothing more irritating then coming into the office to print orders in the morning with employees anxious to pick and pack orders and not being able to open my own Admin due to CRE ad servers.

CRE has taken great strides in attracting middle size business but this forced ad serving is amateurish IMO. Admin ad serving should be removed in all future Paid releases. Advertise all you want in the free version; people that paid for their CRE shouldn't be bothered or interrupted by CRE server performance or lack thereof.

Initially, it was intended in the paid versions to release security notifications. But, I believe that by changing this to a feedburner rss file linked to a blog of some sort would alleviate all of that. Let me know if you need help removing the ad banner code.

Mike,

Thanks for your post. The admin messaging is meant to communicate important updates to store owners, we do not run paid ads there.

Also in later patches, 9 or 11, we switched the admin messaging to iframes to remove the burden of the message during the page load.

We will however look at alternates to the ad server technology we are using to publish the messages to soemthing like an rss feed.

Thanks for the suggestion, Denver.

This forum message instructs HOWTO modify your code. Although, I do not think creloaded will support you with a modified cart. Check with their company. Here is the code:

How to remove admin header and footer links that include ads from CRE in the header and footer If you remove this, you MUST stay on top of the game and look out for alerts from their company or other forums such as the one I sent you to online.

this adserver constantly slows me down. Either I cannot get into the admin or even lookup a product. Would be nice if there was a utility that would strip it out..
