SORRY FOR SHOUTING BUT I CAN'T GET ANYONES ATTENTION ANY OTHER WAY. I HAVE TRIED FOR A WEEK TO REGISTER ON THE CRELANCE SITE AND I'VE BEEN UNSUCCESSFUL. MY FIRST REGISTRATION FAILED TO SEND ME A CONFIRMATION EMAIL, NOW ALL SUBSEQUENT ATTEMPTS TELL ME SOMEONE FROM THIS IP ADDRESS HAS ALREADY REGISTERED AND WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO CONTINUE. MULTIPLE EMAILS TO CRE HAVE YIELDED NO HELP, NOT EVEN A RESPONSE. THIS AFTER I'VE PURCHASED THE PRO VERSION OF CRE AND A STANDARD VERSION. DID I BUY THE WRONG PRODUCT? WILL ANYONE HELP? I WANT TO SUBMIT A PROJECT FOR BID BUT CANNOT DUE TO THIS ANOMALY.
AGAIN, APOLOGIES FOR SHOUTING BUT I'M NOT GETTING ANYWHERE BEING NICE.

Hi Don...probably get into trouble for saying this, but to be honest I dont care! If the people who run CRELance cant be bothered to help in order to profit from you further, then simply post a job request here. There are many coders such as myself who frequent these boards and will contact you with quotes. Of course this has benefits and drawbacks...

Negatives - on CRELance you have a third party to adjudicate in the event of any dispute, plus you are able to see all bids in one place.

Positives - you can actually move forward with your project.

I'll give that a try... Once I get back to the house I'll post the project requirements.. I actually have a functional site, only need a few loose odds and ends cleaned up to get the product saleable.

Yep no end of people tryng to sell you something on here, even when it's free elsewhere. I don't offer services for rent but as one who has been stung I would suggest you don't take any up on there offers. First step check out their web sites most can't even get those working so how do they expect to get anyone elses working.

DIY is the way.

If the IP at work is preventing your registration, then registering from home's different IP might work...

Turning off the dsl router and waiting 30 minutes or so will quite often get you a different dynamic IP... (had to use this trick on a temperamental FTP site once)

thanks, tried the home trick and still no confirmation email from CRE, same problem from home now. Oddly enough, even though it tells me someone is registered at that IP, if I request my password, the system claims it doesn't know my email address I registered with. So I've even tried multiple email addresses but no joy.
also, static IP on office connection, and even though I'm a dynamic IP on my satellite connection at home, (yep, satellite, no DSL or cable offered), I seem to get the same IP every time the DHCP lease expires...

I will address the creforge issue. Any way you could post email headers and body? I need a starting point to track down where it is comming from and if I need to update the gforge software running creforge or not.
