Has anyone put color swatches in their stores? Like this store has

It would behave like the normal attributes list, but with pictures intead of radio buttons or drop downs.

Well, you could just build that into the product_info.tpl.php and set up new database fields for the images to link to.

It would be quite involved to design it that way, but I think it would be better than making it part of the attributes feature. There are plenty of sites to hire programmers to help you design it. You might even want to talk to CRE about it...maybe they could help. It's hard to say how much you might pay when hiring a programmer. Doing it right will probably be a bit of work.

Yeah I've been trying to avoid hiring someone for this one.

I definitely see how I could even do it using some basic html in the descriptions, but I was hoping to integrate it into the attributes manager and make it simple enough that the people updating the products can do the updates.

Let me know if you come across any plugins or if anyone else wants this please PM me. If there are enough people that want it maybe I'll just buck up and code it myself.

Hmm very few e-commerce solutions I've seen that have a color swatch come as standard this needs to be done considering how essential they are to apparel stores and stores like mine that don't usually be set up in the standard way selling rugs.
