Hello,

I'm wondering if someone can help me decide on and install an appropriate SEO / Header / Meta tags contrib?

In a previous thread I inquired if anyone has had any luck with the "Header Tags SEO" contrib installation on CRE. I certailnly didn't have any luck.

i would really like to have a contrib that will help make my store spider / indexing friendly. I have a decent number of products (3,000+), so doing manual tags probably isn't an option.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

its already built in to creloaded 6.2 (header tags)

and as far as url rewrites go.. oly two I consider good
cre urls and seo-g
the later being one that requires a little expertise as support is hard to find.. cre url is straight forward.. but doesn't allow custom urls

Thanks so much for the reply, I appreciate it. I think I successfully have the SEO-URL's from Chemo installed and working correctly. There is a minor error on the admin page, but otherwise seems fine.

With regard to the built in support for header tags, where can I learn more about that and how to use it effectively? I've seen that in the product detail pages in the admin panel, I can manually enter meta tags / header tags. Does the version that's part of CRE 6.2 support dynamic header tags? Or some method for automatically populating these fields from other fields like product title, name, or descriptions?

you don't want them automatically populated.. unless you are sure your titles are good, searchable names

you could hack it so it populates the title with the product name.. but this could just as easily be done using easy populate export.. copy columns from product name to header title
