I have a current template that was custom designed (not sure who created it) and needs a fair amount of design modification. What is the easiest way to go about this? I feel it may be over my head as I have never worked with CRE templates. I have attached two pdf files, current and future, to show the changes. Please advise me in any way possible.

Thank you!

it would be impossible to instruct you in the forums

But your template is made up of 3 main files
header.php (top section)
main_page.tpl.php (left column, main and right column)
footer.php (lower section)

You would need to work with these three files, the mainpage modules, & the stylesheet.css to get from a to b

your infoboxes would also need redesigned
