Hoping someone can help me here. I am using a scrollbar on product detail page, and would like to prevent the text within being copied when a user right clicks on the text whilst online... http://ricoeurope.com/rs3920-p-25373.html .. The code i use to create the scrollbar is

You can't stop content theft really; the right click thing sounds like some sort of javascript attempt, which anyone who is mining content would have disabled anyway. You can sign up to services like CopyScape if you want to find out where your copy is showing up, and modify any rss feeds you're running ... but basically once its on the web, that's it I reckon.

You could us the cufon.js plug in, which effectively turns the text in to an "image".

You will need cufon-yui.js + cufon.js + a cufon font.

You could then set the text you want to "become un copyable" as a h1, h2, h3, h4 etc.. tag.

Do a google search on cufon. http://cufon.shoqolate.com/generate/

Not fool proof, if you turn off javascript in your browser, the text will become plain css based.
