I saw yesterday the retail numbers in the US were brutal and no doubt our's here in Canada will be no great hell!

My question to fellow ecommerce operators is, have you noticed much of a downturn? Have you made changes or plan to, in order to keep competitive?

My traffic is off a little and orders seems to be a bit smaller compared to this time last year.

Here's hoping things improve rapidly for all our sakes!

Comparatively I haven't felt the crunch yet, although I'm already preparing for it. I do think as small business owners we are in for an upcoming challenge. As a country (world actually) we're in hard times, so all us small business guys need to be prepared.

I have noticed a significant slowdown comapred to this time last year. Im sure Im no tthe only one. I went to the mall yesterday and it was dead. It is scary that so few people were shopping. I got a spot (lots of them actually) right near the door. Normally its a drive around until someone is getting out.
