Hi,

I am not a CRE developer.

Would appreciate any feedback on the store www.lifespices.com/marketplace or click on marketplace on the homepage.

I am interested in having an Affiliate program as a next step. So any feedback on best strategy without using developers would be appreciated.

I can modify PHP files and know my way around the admin modules but prefer to keep my fingers out of the techy stuff.

- Don't forget to update the Title meta tag.

- 3 of your 4 "categories" have only 1 or 2 items listed. When you only have 2 products in a category, it seems cumbersome to make the user navigate to that category to see them. If you don't think you'll have more products soon, I suggest you don't break your products down into categories.

- I suggest you put your monthly specials at the top of the page, not "below the fold". Specials should be highlighted, not buried.

Overall, your site would benefit from some real design instead of trying to make blog templates and shopping cart templates fit your needs. I know they are easier, but overall the impression is uncoordinated and kind of sloppy.

Sorry, I don't want to sound mean. But this is just one in a multitude of obviously-template-based shopping cart sites.

I encourage you to look at another site posted in the Showcase - http://www.artedemingo.com/ART_of_MINGO/ - for an example of a good use of the template. It is more than the standard shopping cart site.

Thanks for the candor...Will take into consideration next time I plan a redesign.

I spend a lot of time evaluating web sites in various human-edited directories. I read a lot of other people's comments and try to view sites from the user's viewpoint. I hope my input is useful.

Your input was very useful and I did spend time on the website you referred. I also spent some time on your site and have provided contact information for someone to call me. I just want to understand what a redesign would entail.
