If you can tell me the prestashop has all that now, then it might be something to look at...

It is definitely worth looking at, and the longer Cre continues the 'summer holiday' period (no update since December 2009, broken forge for trackers), the more likely the diminishing number of Cre users will fall further, regardless of a $1 sale on serials.
There are a number of features included in the basic Prestashop install that should be part of any modern cart, - eg security features involving automated htaccess, security tokens; built in points and rewards module; country specifications re modules ... etc.
However it isn't without it's problems (eg 'search' in version 1.4.3 seems to basically be broken, and a check on the PS forum indicates this is an issue for several users.) And some of the interfaces seem a little 'big on flash and light on substance' - ie the store uses a lot of ajax, which is very nice but can have it's problems.
The thing that is a central tenant of oscommerce-based carts is the ease at which you can customise and write / install contributions from a community. Although there is a rapidly growing community at PS, I think this'll be dominated largely by commercial vendors looking to sell their modules (as per the way Magento went.)
And this is where the 'free' side of Presta runs out. PS has always charged for extensions and to setup an equivalent store of features as per a CE version Cre cart would I think set you back more than $0 of the CE version. Also, it's very 'euro-centric', which is fine if you're in Europe and like the idea of several old european languages in the admin, from countries where english is now widely spoken. (Obviously a french product.)
So this thread (until Sal returns from holiday break or whoever is running Cre now) has been well hijacked - but hardly surprising though eh, given the OP date of March 31st and it's now nearly August.
