How do i go about adding a facebook,twitter and youtube buttons to the header.

Um.. place them in /templates/template_name/header.php ??

Or are you asking specific code for each one?

I know where to place code just not sure how to code it :?
Not very good with php

Any help would be appreciated

It wouldn't be PHP... you would put in the code that facebook, twitter and/or youtube gives you outside of php...
I.E. close php "?>", put the code where appropraite, and reopen php "<?php"

.. or use addthis.com or sharethis.com and get the button code from any sm network you choose through their systems. They offer analytics too if you setup a free account.
