 Post subject: Orders Screen and Invoices Problem

Hi all, new to CRELoaded so please bare with me. My site has been up and running for a few months now with no major hitches that I haven't been able to fix but I've come across something that I can figure out.

When viewing invoices. If a customer places a Comment in the comment field and uses the Enter/Return to start another paragraph, that information isn't shown in the invoice screen. Only up to the first 60 characters or until the Enter/Return buttons was pressed. I can only view that additional information if I click on the order via the Magnifying glass.

Is there a way to fix this?

Which version and release of the cart? By invoice do you mean invoices accessed from the Admin >> Orders area?

I am using CRE Loaded PCI CE v6.4.1a

and yes, from the Admin > Customers/Orders, I click on Invoice to the right of the selected customer to view and print the order. If a customer places a Comment in the comment field and uses the Enter/Return to start another paragraph or line, that information isn't shown in the invoice screen. To view the rest of the comment I have to use the "Note" or "Magnifying Glass" icons to view the whole comment.

For example: Customer places this in the comment field

This is a gift, please add this to the gift note

Happy Birthday
Love Aunt Smith


This will only show up on the invoice

Default 6.4.1a carts (CE, Pro or B2B) don't show Comments in invoices or packing slips, so you're probably using a modified version that hasn't been very well modified (and has too low a limit on the amount of database table space given to the entry or has restricted the length of the field in the display to 48 characters. DOubt it has anything to do with the returns.)

If you want it to work, take a look at where Comments are appearing correctly (ie your orders.php file) check the code and check the Order Status History table in the dbase where comments are stored, to see how it's set up.

Either that or pay someone to modify the code.
