Hello,

I have "Furniture", "Household", "Go Greens" (main categories) on the top navi. How do I display only "Furniture" and Furniture's sub categories on the left sidebar? Possibly, I want to have "By Brand" category (just for the furniture) on the sidebar. Please share your wisdom -:) I don't want to display "Household" and "Go Greens" categories when I am in "Furniture" page.

Please share your wisdom.

Thank you!

I'd ditch displaying categories in the left sidebar altogether ... if you've already got the category selection in the top nav and you probably have some sort of breadcrumb trail running, a left sidebox category list just becomes another duplicated effort. And the space will allow you to add something else in the left column.

The 'By Brand' can simply be a modification of the included 'By Manufacturer' box (if not using manufacturers) or duplicate this box if you are.

Hi Simon,

Thank you for your reply. Well, each top category has 3 level sub categories. So I would need a category navi on the sidebar... It's like Amazon or any department store type websites. You have a few main categories and many subcategories. When you visit Electronics page, all you see is the electronics subcategories and nothing else. Only top nav has Electronics, Apparel, Shoes etc. Is this too complicated to do?

Sure, so short answers then is 'yes it's doable' and the answer is re-coding the box, ie a coding job.
