I am using MVS with CRE 6.5 B2B -- I have both dropship and owned inventory products.

I thought the proper way to do this was to set my default shipping modules for the inventory products in the modules section. I then setup MVS vendors and corresponding shipping modules for the drop ship vendors.

Every time I update a product that I hold inventory for (per my setup, this should not have a vendors_id, or a vendors_id=0) -- the vendors_id gets reset to vendors_id = 1 (even though I leave the drop down at "NONE"). Editing the product again and setting the vendor to "NONE" has no effect. I manually reset the value in the DB to NULL (and in a different trial to 0), and the problem is still repeatable.

Also, the desired behavior is not clear for products with sub-products, as the sub-products get their own vendors_id, defaulting to 0 (regardless of the parent product settings)-- yet exhibit the same behavior when these products are edited.

It appears that one of the following bugs exist:

-- (if my setup is correct) then the product screen should not change vendors_id to 1.

-- (if my setup is incorrect, and I need a new vendor for held-inventory) -- the dropdown option of NONE should be removed from the product screen when MVS is enabled and existing products vendors_id values should be changed when MVS is enabled.

I am a new user, so it is possible that I may have a misunderstanding here -- -please advise.

- Ryan

MVS assumes that all your products will be assigned a vendor. Set yourself up as a vendor , vendor ID 1.
