I need to be able to assign multiple parents to a child product.
ie. for a broom I might add a brace and handle
Product attributes does not give me the inventory control I need. i.e. providing my vendor with an order with 3 seperate line items. Does anyone know of a solution for this

Parent - child categories is about as far as it goes by default. Subproducts won't give you the 'parent', so short of recoding the cart, nope.
