I am having problems getting the Fedex shipping module installed. I am getting the following error:
Quote:
No meter number was obtained, check configuration. Error :
It says you should leave it to NONE and is suppose to obtain a meter id automatically when requesting your first quote. I searched and found something, so I am not sure what to do with it. Here's what I found:
Quote:
You can no longer obtain fedex api meters for tagged or xml transactions pointing to https://gateway.fedex.com:443/GatewayDC this functionality was disabled june 1st 2011, the GatewayDC server will be retired completely in May of 2012. Existing active meters will still work until then.

You need to install and implement a web service module which is available at their developer resource center at http://www.fedex.com/us/developer.
So I am unsure what to do now. Any help would be much appreciated.

It looks to me like you'll need to find a newer FedEx module. Have you looked at the oscommerce site? Maybe this one? http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/7977

I don't know since I use UPS....

I used the Fedex shipping module provided with CRE Loaded 6.4

Isn't the osCommerce module just for osCommerce and not for CRE Loaded. I know CRE is based on osC but is this an easy install or do I have to rewrite codes and such?

Also this module also says it automatically obtains a meter ID just as my current fedex shipping module, but I assume then it is obtaining one in a different way as described in the quote from my post above? "tagged or xml transactions pointing to https://gateway.fedex.com:443/GatewayDC "

fedex modual supplied with CRE is outdated. Fedex quit giving out meter numbers for there old api i believe in jan of this year.

You will need to use the webservice version. I never tried using the new version. I swapped to them for about 2 months and i found issues on ever invoice, and they where a pita to get them fixed. So i swaped back to ups before running into this issue. I would try using the one he linked previous and post up if you get it to work or have any questions.
