I switched from zencart to CREloaded for three main reasons.

1) The availability of high quality templates for cre, zens templates sucked.

3) I figured there would be plenty of modules available that were written for CRE and worked well.

2) Hope that since the support here are being paid they would be highly interested in helping you as well has quality support options.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) was correct , i was able to find a easy to mod template and made a quality looking site. I am very happy with this.

2) Turned out to be false. Not only are there very few mods written for Cre and available for purchase . Installing the free ones from OSC are much more complex because you don't know if the code is the same. I was much better off in this regard with zen cart. There was a way more working and free mods available there and people responded to questions very quickly. I am not a coder nor do i want to become one, I would be happy to pay you for working modules. even simple ones that many not even require any changes from OSC. I don't have time to research each mod and see if it will work and no one ever responds on these forums anyways. I am glad to spend money for piece of mind and know it will work with the cart. You should really spend some more time on this as it can become a continual source of income past the original fee on the cart.

3) The support stinks here . Forum is next to useless, again the people at zen were infinitely more interested in helping and there are tons of them. No one here expresses any interest in helping anyone. The paid options are also not worth my time. I really want a support team that I can just call , tell them my issue or what I need done and have them do it. I would also pay a substantial amount of money for this. Hell, if you set up a locked forum with someone you hired to answer questions all day I would also pay a substantial amount of money to be a member of that forum. Maybe even add that as an extra change on the initial purchase.

To be honest other than the availability of templates i don't see any reason why anyone would pay $350 for cre b2b instead of using zencart. The quality of support is superior in every way and the software is pretty much the same except in my experience there are fewer bugs in zen.

This market has a huge desire for a cart like this that the average joe can do most of their own work but is not skilled enough to do anything beyond average knowledge and ability to read detailed instructions. For this person there is quality support rather than a forum filled with unanswered question after unanswered question. You guys have a huge opportunity to be that company. Right now it seems like you have that idea but you are not following through.

Again , I have cash in hand and i want to give it to you if you are willing to take it.

I agree that cre loaded isn't the kind of software that average joe can use, without needing any coding skills. Most of the time you're on your own with cre loaded, unless you have found a private individual or a company that would do the coding for you. You pretty much have only three options here: either learn how to code by yourself, or find someone that can do it for you, or look into a commercial software, such as X-Cart.

There are plenty of people who are willing to help fix issues and install modules etc. problem is they don't always see everyone's post etc. and CRE do encourage people to use CRE Lance for developing etc.

www.crelance.com

It does give you the protection of holding the funds in escrow etc. but you do pay a slight premium for that. May be you should make one topic with all the mods you want done and let people pm you with quotes etc. but there are plenty of sites which sell mods contribute central for one.

I think the main problem is my expectations were different than what CREloaded has to offer so i felt let down.

I found zen cart easy enough to use and mods easy to install. I only had problems when trying to do advanced work or figure out bugs some of the mods had when used together.

Our business was doing well enough that we had funds to reinvest in better software. I searched all over the net and asked people on countless forums. I told them we had a budget of up to $5,000 for the software alone. Everyone kept pointing me back at the OSC , CRE and ZEN carts because the other ones weren't any better. I decided to go with CRE Loaded because it was supposed to come " preloaded" with all the most popular mods and have quality support options . I purchased the B2B pro thinking it would have the most features.

I found out right away that this was not the truth. The cart didn't come with some major mods which made the cart hard to use. When asked its hard to get someone to point you in the right direction. Again the reason I purchased cre rather than go with one of it's free brothers is because we have more money than we have time. I'm happy to pay for working mods that are written for CRE or a super pro CRE that has everything useful installed.

1) While the cart tells you that you are out of stock on "x" amount of items it won't tell you which ones ..... the only advice is to export excel files .... Why not just include the low stock reports mod that will not only tell you which item bit also give you links to them.

2) no way to print or update more than one order at a time. If you have 100 orders this can take well over an hour of tedious work. The batch print center mod allows you to print today's orders as well as automatically update them as shipped.

3) Reviews didn't work at all when i bought the software , they work now with the new patch but they don't show up under the items. what good are reviews if the customer can't easily see them. Reviews generate orders, they shouldn't have to click on something to see them, they should be forced to see them. Both the OSC mods i found needed more work than i was able to do to work with CRE.

4) Out of stock items don't show up as out of stock until the customer has actually started the check out process. I have got tons of complaints from customers who are trying to check out and unable because they don't see the note in the cart that says "out of stock remove from cart". For every person that takes time to tell me about this there are 10 that just got frustrated and didn't purchase at all. There are mods out there that change the add to cart button to say "out of stock" and won't let you add the item to the cart. This is preferable for a vary large portion of us.

5) Customer comments and shipping methods don't show up on the packing slip . what good is a packing slip if it doesn't tell you the customer comments or the method of shipping they chose ? batch print center was my solution.

These are issues just off the top of my head. It is just a suggestion maybe every day usable functions like these should be of higher priority than some new toy features most of us won't use.

I think these things should be included in the B2B pro but to be honest i would have just purchased them if you had them for sale and written to work for CRE. $10-30 is nothing if the alternative is waiting days to get a response in these forms only to get directed to a a mod written for a different program and needs small changes that i also have to figure out.

After reading this i think it misrepresents my feelings . I am 85% happy with my purchase here which is pretty good. The purpose of this thread was simply to let you know that there are customers like myself that have more money than time and coding knowledge. We would appreciate more mods that are recoded for CRE, ready to go and available for purchase.
