I did not say HELP this guy I said help some one else who could possibly have the same issue!
I think if it's un-answered after almost 2 years, it's either a non-issue or at the very least it was answered somewhere else.

Thats what forums like this are mainly for! you help someone then if someone else enters the correct info into search they find possibly the same issue and then they could possibly fine the answer they are searching for! am I wrong about this?
But chiming in with "Come on guys, someone help him!" makes it seem at the least like you maybe have the same issue but for some reason don't want to say it, or are trying to increase your post count... but then you say

And while I'll take you at your word on that, it begs the question "Why post at all if you don't know the answer?" (I'll even use your own words)...

If I knew the correct answer I would post it here !
May as well just put a TTT or BUMP on the post, but again, I think these are non-issue posts because the original posted didn't ask for more help so the result is you're just raising the dead here.
Again, I'll wager that this question was either a simple set up issue this guy had (like no weight for the product), and not something that took a lot to figure out. Perhaps by the time he got it resolved, he was trying to get something else figured out (like how to stay in business) rather than come back and admit he screwed something simple up.
I can appreciate you wanting to help people, I do whenever I can. I have some nice code I'd love to share for your Year/Make/Model post, but can't give it since it's IP that belongs to my company. I have given some hints though and it seems no one asking can code, so you'll have to hire someone to make it for you. Having built auto parts sites for over 10 years, I intimately understand why no one has made a module with this info in it, much less a free one. You sell auto parts, so you know the deal - "Cheap, Fast, Reliable" <- pick two...
