Just a brief note to say we have succesfully ported the very popular Margin Reports tool to CRELoaded6.2, so far tested as working 100% with Pro version (patch , but shouldn't be too far away from full compatability across the board.

does your mod allow reports for specific dates?
does it report discount amounts?

Yes and yes. The sale value is taken from the orders_products table, and the date range is configurable in code, or you can select month/quarter/6monthly or annual reports.

Hi Nicolas; not tested yet, but from what I have seen there is absolutely no reason why it shouldn't; margin reports adds extra pages to admin, and one extra column to the products/orders tables, plus a little modification to the order functions and classes. From what I have seen none of these have been changed in patch 9.

Its a great modification. I would like to use it as our only margin report device but I would like some more flexibility with with it, like being able to add CC processing fees, and differences in shipping charges and actual shipping costs.

any ideas if this would work for 6.15 - or what basic tweaks to the code might be needed ..?

also, do i understand correctly that this would in effect report profit margins - i.e. have somewhere to enter cost of goods/shipping etc alongside sales price ..?

I have purchased the Margin report from Tony. Everything works except that when ever I want to copy a products to another location (duplicate) I get an error.

Just came on here to answer the question above and spotted this comment. I dont normally take issue with you, but on this one I have to stand up for myself. A simple copy of text from osc????? I have a couple of mods which are exactly that, and without exception they are priced at zero, as I have added no value to them. This module DEFINITELY is not a simple duplicate of the osc module, and I take offence at the implication. If you disagree, by all means grab the osc one and do a compare....there are at least 20 differences. Granted if you are proficient with osc code then you can probably convert it yourself, but then you wouldnt bother buying it would you? And to say any of my prices are ott is a huge affront to me considering what many others are charging for much less. In fact, considering what many others are charging for my modules - most dont even bother to change the credit but I know of 4 sites selling one of my modules for over $50 when it is only $10 on my own site and its an identical download, they have added NOTHING to it.

OK, tegralens....you have 2 extra pieces of data in your update syntax:

'0.0000', now(), - looks like you have an extra price (probably cost, but this is not in your list of variables to update), and date_modified. To detangle this I really need server access to your install. Pls contact me with ftp details.

On this note and in a similar vein, I have no problem assisting people with installs, but please remember that this is what I do for a full time living, so there is a quid-pro-quo somewhere along the line. If you are not confident in your abilities installing and correcting minor errors, PLEASE ask me (or another CRE developer) to install the files for you. I charge reasonable rates and can get it right for you first time. Trying to detangle a botched install can actually takes longer than doing it in the first place, and I do have to charge for my time else my family don't eat! I hate sounding like a miserable git, but I do have to earn a living from my time.

There is a very simple rule of thumb which is quite common amongst developers - help on the forums is free as it will help others in the future. Help directly on your files or specific to only you is chargeable.
