Well now Scott...

Your comments about "CRE Programmers" are completely unfounded. Who do you know on my development team??
You really don't want to know who I know on your development team, but he wouldn't be the one doing this stuff I am pretty sure.

From what is your information based??
The information is based on FIRST HAND knowledge of the code and the language.
datazen wrote:
Do you use CRE Loaded?? If so, why would you use it if you felt the developers were incompetent??
Yes I use CRE, well actually my clients do, and I use it because they purchased it first and then they pay me to fix it up.

I have been writing and developing code for more than twenty years and I will take on any challenge that you or anyone else can throw.
I've been programming for quite a long time now as well, actually longer than you and on projects much larger than you have probably been exposed to. I can also tell you that there have been many cases where a contribution was installed in CRE and when the code was debugged, the error was an obvious defect was pasted right into the codebase from the contribution, or in some cases replicated from some other part into a new contribution. Now I know that this happens to the best of us, but I have spent years cleaning up CRE code.

My reputation speaks for itself ... enough said there.
This is true

Now in all fairness, I will expose who wrote this code ... it was me

And that would explain why you took such offense at my post. So typical of Open Source developers.
And as for your challenge, clean up the SQL queries before you release another patch - or at least make that part of what you are cleaning up in the patches! That would be a start ;(
I have no desire to engage you in a flame war as it is obvious that I would lose given your position within the organization, however I did feel a need to respond to your comments. You may have a perception that I started this by knocking the CRE code, but if you truly were what you claim then you would not have jumped directly into a flame or rant attacking my credentials.... enough said
