Loaded Commerce Community

Hi,

I am looking to start a multi vendor shop in my country (Kenya) where online CC payments are virtually unheard of (yet). I have a means of accepting CCs and want to exploit my advantage.

Does/can CRE Loaded work like this;

1. Admin set up shop and categories
2. Vendor creates an account and uploads product info to a suitable category
3. User buys an item using site payment processor
4. Vendor receives email notification and buyer details (copy to admin)
5. Vendor dispatches product
6. Vendor is sent payment amount (less commission) when Admin recieves delivery notification.

Having looked around I realise that the complications begin when a buyer goes to purchase several items from different vendors and the ensuing mess as a result of postage confusion.

I would simply only allow users to buy from one vendor at a time.

What is the upshot of all the discussions I have read? What do people ACTUALLY do?

BTW I would also like to open an online art gallery that works in essentially the same way but vendors would create their own 'category/gallery'

ALSO if anyone has any other good ideas for online shops (I am the one eyed man in the world of the blind and want to get ahead) I would be grateful. So far I have seen international calling cards as an idea. Anything else?
