I don't use an online merchant account, I have the customer type in their CC number and then I process it in-house (catering company).

- when the customer types in the CC number, there is a built-in verification to ensure the number has 16 digits. This is fine for Visa & Mastercard, but American Express cards have 15 digits. So anyone typing in their AmEx number gets an error message.

- I have looked at the different modules listed for "Credit Card" that do not list a specific gateway, since I don't want to use any of them (paypal, authorize.net etc). I don't find one that does NOT include CC # verification ...

Any ideas how to get around the # verification so I can have all 3 cards available for use?

Perhaps you could modify the verification code to allow 15 digits? Or comment it out altogether as you process offline anyway. Back-up first, as always

My programmer found a different module that includes Amex, but he said he can't modify the code to remove the CC verification. I'd really like to be able to do that, though - I just don't need it.
