Hi All

I want to change CRE from choosing the cheapest shipping option when getting to the shipping options.
At present I have two options - pickup in store and courier shipping, but as CRE defaults to the cheapest option, customers are not noticing and completing with pickup in store as their default, which they do not want.

I need to either turn off the default choice entirely, or have it choose the courier shipping option. Then at least they would have to manually choose the pickup in store option.

Can ANYONE point me in the right direction? I have looked high and low but cannot see any options to change this default setting.

When you go to Admin > Modules > Shipping > Store pickup & courier shipping > edit you will see that you can change the sort order for each module. What do you have the sort order set to for each.

Sort Order of Display: Sort order lets you set the order in which your shipping types are displayed, so that your preferred method will always be shown first. Numbers are displayed lowest to highest.

I have 'courier Shipping' on 1 , and 'Store pickup' on 2.

This does place the 'store pickup' option second in the list, but because CRE defaults to the lowest price option, it always chooses 'store pickup' as the default. It's not the order I have a problem with but the fact that it chooses the cheapest option and many customers do not notice that the 'store pickup' has been chosen for them.

This means of course that I have to contact the customer to tell them I want more money from them - not good!

I need the 'store pickup' option for the moment until I can work something else out for those who need a price from overseas.

I'm having this exact same issue. It sucks. Can anyone help?

We are struggling with this same issue. Basically, what we need CRE to do is to select the radio button for the lowest shipping amount that is GREATER than zero. This will do two things: 1) deselect the "in-store pickup" (because it has a $0.00 shipping amount) and 2) select the least expensive shipping option. This will prevent customers from mistakenly choosing "in-store pickup" and getting the lowest shipping price offered to them instead.

Anyone else have this issue or found a solution?
