trying to solve this problem all the day.
Easy Populate Advanced 3.01 Import
have the right txt file with headers:

every row ends with EOREOR

in products id i have blank cell as i want to add new columns.
editing txt file with open office (using previously exported file).
there are not too much records (about 1k)
what i have when importing is a scren displaying the data from the file like:

and at the end " Error 03 - No products_id field in record or it is the last line in the file. This line was not imported. "
no products are added, it seems that the module doesnt recognize rows and takes the whole file as a one record? there should be some green 'updated' text after every record but i don't have this.
any ideas what can be wrong here?
really, spent the whole day on this and cannot find solution
there is some other topic on this forum but there is no answer to my problem

Doubt that'll work - you have to have a placeholder in there or else it'll read the next column (eg products_model) as the product_id, or it won't add the product at all.

Try putting a zero in the product_id for new products; they should get auto incremented from wherever the product_id is up to.

The other thing to watch using OO is making sure you're saving the export file as .csv (OO defaults to tab separated if you opened a .txt file.)

checked with product ids set to 0, export to csv, still the same problem, all data from the file displayed on the screen, no recrods added. when opening csv file in open office or excel i can open it without no problems using tab as cells break.
is it possible that som characters in products description fields can cause the problem?

what about posting just a single example row that you're trying to import - after all if it doesn't work for 1 row, the other 999 won't matter eh?
