Newbie here,

I have CRE 6.3 standard edition, not sure what patch.

I have several subcategories I want to put into 2 main categories and can't figure out how.

Admin >> Product / Catalog >> highlight subcat to move >> click Move >> find destination Category from dropdown on right >> Move.

Thanks for the help, but that's not what I meant.

I don't want to move the subcategory. I want it to show up in two different main categories

I'm not sure that you can do that exactly, but you can have duplicate linked products in two different categories. Just use the same name & description for both categories and link all the products you want to show up in both places.

Admin >> Product / Catalog >> Multiproduct Manager >> Go To the current category with all the products >> choose all >> LINK TO select the other category >> click "Go."
