It gets old with every patch i have to fix hundreds of <br> tags it should be <br />

Cre wants to be taken serious, but the code doesn't pass basic html validation.

I am more than happy to help, just tired of having to do it with ever patch when its as simple as it is.

Work was done to ensure the catalog side would validate with the W3C validator. The default template is a HTML 4.01 Transitional so the <br /> would be wrong.

Yeah XHTML is <br /> HTML is <br>

What would be nice is if CRE Loaded got itself xhtml maybe in the future :)

looks like you were not lying (much :) ) .... much better than the 6.3 releases ... B2B validates but still 8 warnings....

http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fdemos.creloaded.com%2Fcreloaded63b2b%2F&charset=(detect+automatically)&doctype=Inline&group=0

Standard FAILS! ... but only 1 error and 1 warning ... again way better than 6.3

http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fdemos.creloaded.com%2Fcreloaded63std%2F&charset=(detect+automatically)&doctype=Inline&group=0&user-agent=W3C_Validator%2F1.654

...ok so how about tableless full xhtml css based templates :)

... how about getting rid of all the damn image spacers and use style padding and margins instead :)

The demos have content brought over from previous releases, its the CLEAN install that was validating

thanks for your response...

perhaps it would be wise then to do some fresh installs on the demo sites...

i would think you would want the "best and most perfect and clean" code on the demo sites as that is a major source for people making decisions about your cart...

just my take on things...

btw i noticed you guys changed the demo naming and so the links above broke...heres the new links with the same results....

B2B

CE

We have worked hard on this release to make sure it validates. If you are having validation issues, please open a tracker at http://creforge.com/tracker/?atid=543&g ... unc=browse and post your specific issues there. Developers use the bug tracking system and trackers are assigned daily. If you don't post the issue in a tracker, developers will not see the issue and it will not get addressed. Post your issues in a tracker and we'll fix it ;)

Hey Scott, I went to that link to monitor it and I don't see an open issue tracker for transitioning 6.4.1b or 6.4.2 to xHTML Transitional 1.0 Is it your suggestion that we should create issues on various sections of code that need xHTML conversion?
