quick question:

i maintain a PCI-compliant ecommerce website, and have maintained a wordpress blog on a separate (shared hosting) server. for SEO purposes, i'm considering moving it to a virtual subdomain of my main server.

that is, mycompanyblog.com would now appear at blog.mycompany.com, but it would still be hosted on the same shared server as always.

my concern is, the shared hosting is cheap and certainly not pci compliant. will sticking it on a virtual subdomain affect the pci compliance of my main domain, or don't I have to worry about that?

do you transmit, process, store any credit card information on the domain?

if so, it would depend on if the script passes PCI compliance scans.. although that in itself doesn't really make you compliant
