 Post subject: Use SMTP Email on Localhost

Hi guys,
any ideas why I can't use the SMTP email option, the account/mail server is on the localhost. The strange thing is the forum on the same server uses smtp mail without problem.

I'm still having this problem.
I can send mail if I select sendmail but the SMTP option will not work.
The mail server is on the same server and works fine with vBulletin.
If anyone has any idea why this would be.
