I am using version 6.5 pro and i like it, but i cannot acitvate or see the slideshow in my template.

I have copied the mp_slide_show.php to my template templates/Helius/mainpage_
modules/ folder.
I can select the php in the template manager, but i will not show up in my website.

Do i have to make some other changes before it will work?
Please let me know.

where did you get your template?

Helius? Those templates lost support in the code way back at 6.3 ... I reckon that'd be the problem.

If you are using Helius I also would like to mention that it needs updating to support the RCI calls that assist the Mainpage Slideshow to have full access to all the code needed. Those older (no longer supported) templates do not all carry the RCI specs required for 6.3/6.4/6.5 templates and just need a little "help" in placing the correct RCI call to get it going. If you need assistance with this please reply and we can get together on the placment and specifics to get you up and running with that module.

I totally missed that it was Helius. Ya that is not a 6.5 compatible template.

I advice that you either take the new templates (6.3/6.4/6.5) and make it look like you want, or pay someone to add slideshow logic support to your old helius template

Yeah I'd second Sal suggestion of using one of the stock templates and modifying that with your stylesheet from the old helius template.

Generally 'adding in' code to an old template is not worth it re $ / time because today it's the slideshow you want, tomorrow it'll be the fancybox effect on the product page, then one of the other 6.5 features ... plus the helius template look is crusty as, all those square corners.
