While our API is a few weeks away, I thought I would share with you our new iPhone and iPad screenshots:

The MobiCart iPhone platform is already live, but we wanted to re-fresh the look and feel of the app. You will also notice some new features such as product reviews and multiple checkout options.

As for the iPad, we are bringing MobiCart to a new device with a totally new experience.

Our team has already been working hard to integrate both sets and we expect a release date in around 6 weeks time.
We will also be releasing the source code so designers and developers can extend and customise MobiCart to their exact needs.

We are delighted to announce the MobiCart API has now been released and will be in beta for the next 4 weeks.

We also have a dedicated team of developers working on the API so are open to ideas and customisations.

There are two ways an integration can be developed:

1) Simple – Feed all the product data to MobiCart. When an order is then placed on a mobile phone, we would push it back up to you.

2) Advanced – Manage all the MobiCart settings including the app preview directly from within your admin panel.

We have also posted some screenshots of our new iPhone designs and iPad version which is due out soon.

I am happy to put some work into this but would welcome support from any CRE Gurus out there.

We have a number of clients who would benefit from this integration and I am fairly familiar with CRE and PHP, but if there are any Experts in working with PHP and XML, I am pretty weak in this area, and would value any support on offer.

Any integration can be given away for free or sold via our website. To get maximum exposure, we would recommend building a simple integration which you would give out for free, and then a more complex one you could sell.

Mobicart,

you need to integrate CRE Secure for mobile so that merchants can take Credit Card payments in the app without PCI compliance regulations on the app and development processes. Also it secures the payment data and connects to all our gateways.

Currently we only integrate with PayPal Mobile (new native gateway from PayPal) but we are planning on integrating many more.

I would like to try to resurect this idea. I think if CRE is going to be relevant into the future, it needs to integrate with Mobile commerce & mobicart looks like a realy good option for this.

I have done some work on integrating CRE with mobicart using the API, and have managed to get all the key methods to work (eg Create, Add Update products & categories etc), but I am not really a developer & could use some help in creating a properly packaged cre add on that would be useable out of the box by others. Anyone interested in getting the integration going again?

Yes we have contacted Mobicart recently, now that we have taken over the product, and will be planning an integration.
